September 20: The 2008 Bourbon County Secretariat Festival will be held at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds in Paris, Kentucky, from 9a.m. to 6 p.m. A variety of activities throughout the day will be honoring the memory of this great racehorse who retired in 1973 and stood at stud at the world renowned Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky. Admission to the Festival is $5 per person with children under 12 free of charge. Food, bluegrass music, horse demonstrations, carriage rides and Secretariat’s official racing films will fill the day.
